What is Jib Crane?
Jib cranes, as the name suggests, are durable crane systems that can rotate up to 360 degrees after being fixed. It can be used alone, or can serve different purposes when used as a supplement with other crane types. Adjustable angle of rotation provides great convenience to users.
Jib Crane Types
It is divided into types according to the place where it is mounted. Jib cranes, which can be made in special sizes according to the situation of the place of use, are ideal crane types for versatile movements, especially in small areas, as they can rotate 360 degrees after being fixed to the place where they are mounted.
- Wall-mounted jib cranes: It is a type of crane with a carrying capacity of up to 5 tons. Manual, with reducer (electric), with or without support, it can be varied according to preference. It takes up less space than floor mounted jib cranes. But it has no 360 degree rotation capacity. It is often used as a complementary lifting product.
- Floor mounted suspension type jib cranes: It is a type of crane that can carry up to 5 tons of load. It has the feature of 360 degree rotation and can be applied manually, with reducer (electric), with or without support.
- Mobile and truck mounted jib cranes: They are products that can be used for loads up to 1 ton and have 360-degree rotation. They are used in areas where there is a need for different positioning of jib cranes in daily work.
Where Are Jib Cranes Used?
It is a type of crane that is generally used in transport and lifting works in workshops, logistics, packaging facilities, molding workshops, piers, constructions, rolling mills, shipyards and storage. In general, it is ideal for all workplaces with short-distance intensive lifting. Easy to install and use makes it preferable.
Usage of jib cranes:
- After the survey and measurement work (according to Fem/ISO values) of the area to be used, production begins.
- In manufacturing, a path is followed according to the preferences of the customer and the original standard principle of our company.

- Pillar floor mounted jib cranes are simple to install. After mounting the column to the floor to be used with the help of bolts, it will be ready for use. The brain of the crane is on the column, and the compass rotates around the column to perform the transport. It is preferred because it can be used easily in areas where there are no suitable walls and columns.
- After finding a suitable wall or pole for wall-mounted cranes, the crane is fixed there with the help of bolts. And the jib performs its rotations around the wall or pole. (180degrees)

Jib Crane Maintenance
Periodic maintenance has been made mandatory by the Crane Periodic Control Regulation. According to the regulation
- Lifting and forwarding sections of the crane must be able to safely lift 1.25 times the load promised to be lifted.
- The crane must be able to keep the lifted load suspended in this position.
